Hi all!! Welcome to the most clear picture I can paint for you (through my computer screen, of course) of my life. I have absolutely no idea how to blog, so bear with me as I learn as I go. Still, thanks so much for checking my page out!!
My name is Megan Staten and I am 18 years old. I grew up in a small town in North Florida called Lake City, where I have lived my whole life with my wonderful parents and sister, Madison. I have three dogs whom I adore, their names are Mackey who we call Mr.Mack, Dodger, also known as Lil’ Dodge, and my favorite (is that wrong?), Chico who I refer to as Cheeks. Some of my hobbies include swimming, spending time with family and friends, as well as journaling, and yes, even working at a local bank with a couple good friends. I have a heart for missions and worship, and a passion for serving that I cannot wait to put to use.
I was raised in church and have been saved for the majority of my life, as I accepted Jesus as my “Lord and Savior” at a young age. Little did I know then, but for most of my life, Jesus was ONLY my Savior. If you asked me then if I loved Jesus, I would have told you “of course!”, and I wouldn’t have been lying. However, I have recently come to understand that loving someone is in direct proportion with how well you know the person. I am learning intimacy with the Father and what a life surrendered to my LORD looks like, and am learning that my ultimate goal is not to go to heaven when I die, but to bring heaven to earth while I live by sharing the Good News.
The World Race seemed like a dream for a long time, even after I heard the Lord declare this over me, but He is faithful and so good, never failing and always, ALWAYS keeps His promises.
So, here I am, taking the first steps into what I know will be the scariest yet most fulfilling adventure I have yet to go on. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you! Thank you in advance for your partnership with me, by giving as the Lord leads, and praying without ceasing.
